Normally dh and I get store bought cakes for our birthdays, but this year I decided to make dh one for his birthday. We didn't actually eat it tonight because tomorrow is his birthday.

June 5, 2009 A little pool fun
We were trying out this basketball/volleyball combo set to see if it would work in the pool. Unfortunately the side of the net to the right drops off into the deep end (8 ft.) not far from where Ethan is standing so it didn't work very well. I think we'll look for just a basketball hoop to play with in the shallow end.

We hosted an end of the school year pool party...it was a blast! I think at one point we had 30 kids in the pool.

I finally finished organizing the drawer and cabinets of my desk in the kitchen. Everything had been piled up on the dining room table so now the cabinets are organized and my dining room table is clutter free again.May 2, 2009 Almost done!

April 26, 2009 One wall repainted
So, pipe joint was repaired, the sheetrock replaced, the walls retextured and painted. Problems now...texturing isn't the same and the paint is darker. So, dh and I repainted one wall in the bathroom and one wall in the family room. Texturing still needs to be fixed and then we will repaint the bathroom and the family room yet again. Oh, and baseboards still need to be painted and replaced. What a mess!!!
