February 22, 2009 Dh the handyman

The ceiling fan in our bedroom started making wonky noises the other day and after cleaning it spraying it with WD-40 it was still making noise. So, we picked out a new fan and dh installed it. I like it a lot better than the original one that the builder installed.

February 21, 2009 Marathon Kids

Each year, the boys participate in Marathon Kids which is a program to get kids active. Over the course of 6 months, they have to log 26.2 miles and at the end of that, there's a final mile ceremony where they're presented with medals. Here are the boys with their medals.

February 17, 2009 Frustrating!

This is the online system that our school district uses for getting substitute teachers. It is so frustrating sometimes to use this system because most of the time you can't log in and then when you can and try to select a job it tells you that the job is being looked at by someone else "try again later".

The boys had their Valentine parties today at school...doesn't Seth looked thrilled? One of Ethan's teachers made the pencil topper he has in his hand...she made them to "look" like each individual student.

February 11, 2009 Some light reading, etc.

I walked into the powder room this morning to find these things. First there are the National Geographic Kids, a crossword puzzle, a word search book and a pencil compliments of Seth (though the crossword puzzle and word search book are mine and they were on the table in the family room) and then you have National Geographic, the yellow pages and a National Geographic travel book compliments of dh.

We bought this weather radio shortly after we moved to TX and I am so glad. We get some crazy weather here so it's nice to know what's on the way. It was going off like crazy last night.

February 7, 2009 Valentine's

We (read I) decided to make our Valentine's this year for the boys' classmates. So, thanks to Family Fun we made these irocks. The red "ipod" is a box of conversation hearts and the "ear buds" are mini peanut butter cups. I think they're cute if I do say so myself. Seth was a big helper and Ethan was off somewhere else doing his thing.

or trying to anyway. I was getting bored with the gym and it was getting hard to find time to get there since I'm working most days now. So, I've been doing these Walk at Home DVD's I have and I've only missed one day in the past month. Go me! LOL.

Saturday is dinner out night for us and tonight we went to Buca di Beppo...yum! The boys were cold (it was pretty chilly in the restaurant) so they were being silly with their jackets.
