April 26, 2009 One wall repainted

So, pipe joint was repaired, the sheetrock replaced, the walls retextured and painted. Problems now...texturing isn't the same and the paint is darker. So, dh and I repainted one wall in the bathroom and one wall in the family room. Texturing still needs to be fixed and then we will repaint the bathroom and the family room yet again. Oh, and baseboards still need to be painted and replaced. What a mess!!!

April 24, 2009 In the process of repairing...

This is all the sheetrock that had to be removed and replaced in the family room. The other side of the wall is the master bath and the same amount of sheetrock was removed from there as well.

April 22, 2009 Not how I wanted to start my day!

Just as I was about to head out the door to work this morning dh noticed a puddle of water on the floor in the family room. Upon further investigation, he found a joint in the copper pipes behind the wall that was leaking. The wall was buckled just above the baseboard but the leak was about 4 1/2 feet up. Now for the repair work.

April 21, 2009 Croquet anyone?

The boys were learning how to play croquet. They just love our new nextdoor neighbors (as do we).

I've been doing an interval running program and the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred so I wanted to see what my legs looked like. Dh was kind enough to snap a few photos for me. Please ignore the bruise on my leg...I have no clue how I got that.

I finally had the chance to meet (IRL) someone that I've been "friends" with for years. Seth was kind enough to inform me that the polish on my toes was chipping so I gave myself a mini pedicure. Note the tans lines from my flip flops??? LOL.

April 15, 2009 2nd grade field trip

Stalactites and stalagmites anyone? I chaperoned the 2nd grade field trip to the caves today. It was fun, but the walking up and down the trails was tough...after my first 2 days of the 30 day shred.

April 6, 2009 It was a chilly run

It was in the mid 40's when I went out for my run this morning. I had one glove on, but had to keep the other hand glove free to that I could see the intervals that I wrote on my hand...LOL.

April 5, 2009 Baby steps

We took the pedals off of Seth's old bike so that Ethan could practice his balance before actually learning to ride. He did really well, but we need to keep practicing. He'll get it soon adn be off riding before we know it.

April 4, 2009 Is that Tarzan???

We sent to a birthday party at a local gymnastics place and the kids had a ball. Between the trampoline and climbing on and swinging on this rope Seth was exhausted by the time the party was over.

April 3, 2009 New Bike

Seth was looking like the Jolly Green Giant on his 20" bike so we got him a 24" with dual hand brakes and 21 speeds. He's been riding it just about every single day since I picked it up. I'm glad I have a riding partner.

April 2, 2009 After school

The boys have been spending A LOT of time playing outside lately after school. They come home, do their homework and are out until dinner. Makes for 2 tired boys at the end of the day.

April 1, 2009 April Fools

This was Seth's cereal this morning. I put a few drops of blue food coloring in the bottom of his bowl, added the cereal then the milk. He was like "why are my Cheerios blue?" Then the milk turned totally blue. I would have done it to Ethan too (using a different color), but he didn't want cereal for breakfast. Last year I put a raisin in their tube of toothpaste. LOL!
